When the time is right to design a new room or transform an existing space in your home, there are many factors to consider and lots of decisions to make. Our goal is to guide you through the process so that the result fulfills your needs and exceeds your dreams. By combining a range of construction experience, design "eloquence," and individualized service, we can design, oversee, and implement your project.

Personal planning is key to our design approach. The design process begins with an in-depth consultation to discuss the scope of your project, including your needs, your wish list, your budget, and your timeline. The consultation takes place at the Thyme & Place Design studio or in your home, depending on your preferences. We are primarily a referral-based firm, so it's not essential that we always meet in the studio.
Upon receipt of a retainer, Thyme & Place Design begins to develop a design appropriate to your home, taste, and lifestyle. From coordination of contracts and development of plans to selection of products and installation, Sharon and her staff never lose sight of their goal of personalized service.
We provide project management for both renovation and new construction projects, including kitchens, baths, home offices, media rooms, or any space involving custom cabinetry. Larger remodels involving additions, as well as new construction projects, are completed with a construction team, which includes an architect and contractor. We also offer interior design consultation to finish rooms, including window treatments, paint and wall coverings, furniture, and millwork.
Our unique perspective creates an artful blend for your home. Function and form have always gone hand in hand to fulfill our objective: to create a pleasing aesthetic in every element in your space.
Each design is approached from the unique perspective of Sharon's professional CKD, ASID, and NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualifications) credentials. She not only understands design, style, and the history of furniture, but is also keenly aware of specific design elements such as form, line, and balance that are all vital in every successful design.
